Will stropping make my knives sharper?

Stropping after whetstone sharpening achieves two things: 1) to align the micro teeth of knife edge, and 2) to remove residual micro-materials as a result of whetstone sharpening. Stropping itself does not make the knife edge finer, but it enhances sharpness by reducing the resistance from unassigned micro teeth structure.
